Canon EOS 3000D review @idnarmadi.com – Along with Canon EOS 1500D, Canon EOS 3000D was announced by the end of February 2018. Even though the product has been introduced in company’s social media few days ago, but the Japanese Camera manufacturer specifically chose India to officially announce this new Entry level DSLR.
Aimed for new user who just moved to DSLR photography, this new Canon camera offers more ease and simplicity. So, for you who are interested and want to know more about this brand new camera device, here is the Canon EOS 3000D review.
Canon EOS 3000D Review
As stated before, Canon EOS 3000D is aimed for novice user or the one who’s just getting bored of using smartphone to take photos, and wants to try more advance dedicated camera device. By this, surely ease and simple operation should be something mainly offered by the camera. And canon has been successfully emulates this idea into Canon EOS 3000D.
Purposed as the successor of the previous Canon EOS 1300D, which now is 2 years old already, Canon EOS 3000D brings several interesting upgrades on board. How interesting these upgrades actually are? They will be explained in this Canon EOS 3000D review below one by one.
Canon EOS 3000D Specification
First thing to talk on this Canon EOS 3000D review is the sensor that the camera got. Unlike its brother Canon EOS 1500D who got bigger 24.1 MP of sensor resolution, the new EOS 3000D only has 18 megapixel APS-C CMOS sensor. But, surely this sensor size won’t be a problem since this camera is not aimed for professional photography, so 18 MP is enough. Besides, manufacturer claims that this is the kind of sensor which is claimed to be 19 times larger than the typical sensor on smartphone.
Featured with this kind of sensor, Canon EOS 3000D will able to create high definition pictures with great color combination and details. This even can be achieved in the low light shooting condition. Moreover, to result better performance, manufacturer also couples this camera with Digic 4+ image processor too. In which with this processor, the camera can reach 3fps burst shooting speed, a quite interesting speed for an entry level device.
Features
Another thing that needs to be talked about in the Canon EOS 3000D review is the video capability. As an entry level DSLR, you need to be satisfied with full-HD (1920×1080) format in 30fps. There is no 4K, like several other newly released cameras. But, we think that this video format is already okay for just doing vlogging or recording your stuff.
Move to the sensitivity, the ISO of this camera ranges from ISO 100 to ISO 6400. This range can even be expanded to ISO 128.000. By this, shooting in low light condition should not be a problem. While for autofocus, the 3000D uses 9-point phase-detection autofocus for faster and more accurate focusing system. All images and videos will be reviewed in 2.7 LCD screen at the back of the camera. This screen is quite smaller compared to 1500D that has 3 inch LCD monitor.
Ease on Canon EOS 3000D
During its introduction, Canon called this camera as “Easy EOS”. This is quite logical thing because since the very first place, ease and simplicity are something Canon wants to emphasize in this camera. This might be because Canon is targeting new user with this camera, so they want to make it as simple as possible.
For example, on Canon EOS 3000D review you can find a feature called “Feature Guide”, where you’ll be guided easily on how to operate the camera. Not stopping on that, “Scene Intelligent Auto” mode is also available. With this mode, user can easily create ready-to-upload photo with various creative filters. Therefore, you can upload the photo directly to your social media page without too much doing editing.
Move to the other side, to support its connectivity, Canon has also completed this camera with NFC and WLAN. So, user can instantly share the photos taken with this camera to your personal device such as smartphone or tablet. With this connectivity too, you can also control the camera remotely via smartphone or tablet by downloading Canon Camera Connect App on your Android or IOS device.
Overall, the connectivity is great, and enough to do just remote control or file transferring. But, if we can say one disappointing thing, this camera hasn’t completed with Bluetooth connectivity just like what we got on newly released Canon EOS M50.
Canon EOS 3000D Price and Availability
At the end of Canon EOS 3000D review, now let’s talk about the price of this brand new DSLR. Although the camera was already announced by the end of February, it’s still not available in the market. Based on the current news, the camera will start shipping by the end of March or early April 2018. So, if you are interested to buy this, you got to wait until the release date comes. While for the price, Canon said that the official price will be revealed when the release date is near. But, it’s expected that Canon EOS 3000D will be sold around 450 USD with EF-S 18-55mm IS II kit lens.
