The new Canon EOS 850D DSLR camera is the successor to the EOS 77D and 800D models. Canon is still dedicated to DSLR and mirrorless systems. So that gives people more choices.
Both systems have advantages and disadvantages of each. The Canon 850D (also known as the EOS Rebel T8i in the US) has a design very similar to the 800D, located between 250D and 90D in the EOS range.

So it can shoot endlessly at higher speeds, which is up to 7 fps. Using Canon’s Intelligent Tracking (iTR) technology, the Canon EOS 850D can seek focus by detecting human faces. This function can also be useful if you take pictures in sporting events and in the wild, focusing on certain animals.
Supporting Features
Connectivity options offer fans more ways to share work and greater security when recording. With 2.4GHz Wi-Fi and Bluetooth Low Energy connectivity, photographers can connect the Canon EOS 850D to their iOS or Android devices via the Canon Camera Connect application, to edit and share high-quality images.
From here, content can be downloaded to smart devices, reviewed and posted on social media or shared with friends and family. With this integration, photographers can easily edit using DPP Express for iPad for a full RAW workflow while on the go.
Automatic Image Synchronization also provides a free backup of still images and movies to the user’s computer with Image Transfer Utility 2, so that valuable photos are never lost.

Live View
When using Live View, the Canon 850D will utilize the Dual Pixel CMOS AF on the sensor to produce fast focus.
Canon also presents a special AF-ON button on the rear body for easy access to the focus mode. When photographing moving objects, this button can be used to stay focused on the object thanks to AI Servo AF, so the shutter button functions to take only photographs.
Eye Detection AF allows the camera to stay sharp when shooting. Precise control of the focal point in Live View mode will be supported by Dual Pixel CMOS AF using 143 automatic modes or 3,975 in manual selection.
That’s the review of the Canon EOS 850D. It is available for pre-order from the Canon online store and will go on sale from April 2020. The camera is sold at a price of 749USD for the body only version, and 899USD with a lens.
