Price and Impression
Performance is just average in The HS20. It has start-up time at a rather sloth-like 3.5 seconds, which significantly trails those equivalent DSLRs.
Other cameras may have a bit quicker and bit responsive than this. Autofocus performance is not particularly quick either, with a slight delay perceptible between the act of half-pressing the shutter button and the AF system actually kicking into gear.
It is not a huge delay but it is noticeable, even when the camera is used in good light. Once the AF system gets past this small hiccup, however, it’s actually pretty fast to achieve focus.
Images produced from thi camera also not too impressive. How about the price? As this camera is announced, the Fujifilm gives the retail price around $270-$300.
